About Me
Siona Koker
Service Designer
How can I help you? A phrase we often take for granted in the service industry and public sector, but is the core principle of my approach to Service Design. I have 5+ years in service design leading the design of processes, programs and services at public sector and nonprofit organizations with 50 to 500+ employees and up to 63M+ in annual revenue. My goal is to help your users, employees and organizations achieve their objectives by designing effective tools, systems and processes so you can make a positive impact on your users. If that sounds great to you, then I look forward to working with you.
My life before design
My journey to design has not been linear. With a passion for creating meaningful experiences, I have always sought to design spaces and services that make a difference to community members. I have founded clubs like the African Caribbean Students Club and worked for the Women’s Resource Centre in university, worked in administration and marketing for municipalities, and worked in community development for five years. Those experiences taught me that addressing inefficiencies, incoherence and inconsistencies in systems and processes through service design, service blueprinting, design thinking, facilitation, communication and collaboration can reduce friction for users on their journeys through organizations.
